In 1965 Dr. Martin Luther King and many other foot soldiers marched from Selma, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama as they were brutally beaten because they wanted to register to vote. March 5,2023 Founder of ''Purposed For The People" Ms. Celina Charles joined Reverend Al Sharpton, Reverend Jesse Jackson, President Joe Biden, Activist Porch'se Miller and many others while commemorating the remembrance of that brutal time.

We believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about some of the most pressing issues facing today’s society. Pictured below from left to right is Keena Sims the mother of Toussaint Sims. Her son was gunned down by Moss Point Police officer on August 8, 2019. Dinellle Hardin the sister and Mona Hardin the mother of Ronald Greene. Ronald Greene was an unarmed 49 year old black man beaten and killed by Louisiana state police. Katrina Mateen the mother of 15 year old Jaheim McMillan who was shot in the head and killed by Gulfport Mississippi Police. Earl Lewis is the cousin of William Chapman who was killed by Portsmouth Virginia Police and Ms. Celina Charles the first cousin of 15 year old Quawan Charles who was lynched by white supremacy in New Iberia Louisiana.

Here at Purposed For The People, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2022, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: support, empowerment and progress.
