We have now received a response from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) regarding the January 4, 2026 incident at Odd Fellows Bar involving Jaiondrick Lovely.

📌 Here is what has been confirmed in writing:

• The request for the body-worn camera footage has been forwarded to DCI’s records department

• The investigation is still ongoing

• The matter is no longer under the Dubuque Police Department

• The matter is no longer under the City of Dubuque or the City Attorney

This means the footage is now fully within state control, and the process is being handled according to Iowa law and DCI procedures.

They have formally stated they do not control the investigation or the footage.
