DWIGHT CELESTINE TRIAL

Tomorrow I will be in Lafayette standing in support of Dwight Celestine as he faces trial again in the 15th Judicial District Court. His trial is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at the Lafayette Parish Courthouse located at 800 South Buchanan Street in Lafayette, Louisiana.

I am asking members of the community to come sit in the courtroom and pay attention to what is happening in our judicial system. Dwight has already faced trial once and is now being forced to go through another trial over the same matter. This raises serious concerns about double jeopardy, prejudicial vindictiveness, and a man being railroaded by the system.

Everyone deserves a fair trial and effective counsel. The public has a right to observe what is happening inside our courts. If you are able to attend, I encourage you to come out and witness this process for yourself.
