Today was a heavy day, but it was also a step toward accountability.
Brandon Francisco was sentenced to life in the Ella Goodie case. As part of his plea, he told the court he provided information about where Ella’s remains may be. The family is now waiting, praying that she can finally be found and laid to rest.
Justice doesn’t feel complete until a mother and father can bring their child home. Ms. Katie Goodie has shown grace and forgiveness, asking only for her daughter to be returned to her. Ella’s father spoke from a place of deep pain, a pain no parent should ever know.
I shared this message today not from a place of hate, but from a place of humanity. Closure matters. Truth matters. And Ella matters.
